to Japanese Version
Day 2 : I came Ratanakiri to see mining area as I have interested in gems especially sapphire. But it became clear that this area isn't produce of sapphire only produce of zircon. Although I really disappointed to know that, I decided to go gem mining area and Seven Step Waterfall.
Rubber plantation Motorbike's driver Mr. Tra and I drove though robber forest at first and then we passed through cashew nut plantation. He said that as there used to be coffee plantation now changed to cashew nut because it earning was little bit high than coffee.
After while suddenly forest was end and cultivation land spread out before our eyes. Trees were cut down and there were fire here and there. There was unburned tree remain it looked like 'Memorial of the forest' for me. |
Miners were working in mud pool
Gem seller were drinking tea while waiting purchaser |
We returned Ban Lung through the mining village and stopped at Kachang Waterfall located 6km west from the town. When I got off the bike pick-up truck arrived carry a full student. Immediately came down to the fall they got undressed and into the basin one after another.
It was really good place to take bath in the plunge pool. Don't forget your swimsuit and towels. |
After Kachang Waterfall we crossed national road 19 to Cha Ung Waterfall that located 8km west from Ban Lung. Up to that time waterfalls that I visited were all free but this had gate and collected 2,000 riels for entrance.
This waterfall is different to another because you can see from behind.
Waterfall view from under front was like this. |
