Sihanouk Ville |
to Japanese Version
Sihanouk Ville is Cambodia's only international port approximately 194 kilometers southwest of Phnom Penh and well known as sea resort faces the Golf of Thailand. We started early in the morning took National Route No.4 to the sea. Although this road coming good from year to year, necessary time is always depends on traffic of heavy-duty truck.
After 4-5 hours ride as we neared last pass notice almost all car stop on the right. There is a small shrine of "God of road safety". Of course we pay a visit follow Khmer's example.

One-day members of us proposed, "I hard there is a National Park near Sihanouk Ville. Why don't you go ? " As we took no particular exception to it went to National Park headquarters opposite side of the Sihanouk Ville Airport.
![]() Gateway to Riam National Park Park ranger explained, "Most popular way to enjoy Ream is take a boat. One boat for 4 persons cost is 25$ and plus 5$ for guide." He kindly led the way to Pre Toek Sap ranger station located roughly 1.5 kilometers back to Phnom Penh on the route 4.
Our boat along the mangrove colonies The unroofed ranger boat meandered along Pre Toek River side, which overgrows with mangrove colonies, what a peaceful scenery it was. Unfortunately we hadn't enough time, boat started little past 2 o'clock in the afternoon, to the sandy beach, we turn back halfway to dwarf. You will better to start earlier than us. |
