Yubari Coal-Mine Museum was opened on 1980 as an industrial Museum Lots of materials have been collected, Yubari Historic Coal Mine as the model pit was built in order to teach visitors about coal and mining history.
Yubari HistricCoal Mine There is small-scale colliery under the Coal Basset (24 feet deep). This simulated colliery has upper galleries, a gate road, a coal-mining pit called long wall, and an inclined pit. And there is a heading machine called road-header, a coal cutting machine called drum -cutter, a conveyor machine called double-chain conveyor, and a boring machine used to let gas out of coal mine seam. Most of them are comparable to those used present time.
