This building used to be Palace of Vice-King National Museum, located beside Choa Phraya River and north the palace, is largest museum in South-East Asia. From the artifacts of Ban Chiang to modern times arts more than 1,000 articles are exhibit. You can grasp outline of arts of Thailand, especially changing of Buddhism art. ![]() "Wheel of Law" is symbolize of preach on Buddha's teachings. I saw similar one at Lhasa in Tibet. |
So-called "Temple of Emerald Buddha" is constructed in 1782 for the royal temple. Once Emerald Buddha is belong to Vientiane in Lao. When Thai troops invade to Lao they brought Emerald Buddha for trophy.

Sky-train runs over Sukhumvit Rd. If you don't be afraid of terrible traffic congestion you can choice variety of transport in Bangkok. As I don't like to spend a time for traffic jam I often use comfortable Sky-train, the Sukhumvit and the Silom line, to move. Two lines are connected at the Central Station.
Sathorn pier : Run overhead is King Taksin Bridge Another transportation of my recommend is the boat. The terminus in the Silom line Saphan Taksin is the Boat connections station. You can take few minutes walk to the riverside. |
